Welcome to Our Deaf Resource Base!

Our specialist Deaf Resource Base is a valued and integral part of the Lindow Community Primary School family, reflecting our commitment to ensuring that every child feels included, supported and able to achieve their full potential.

Our highly skilled team is led by myself, a qualified Teacher of the Deaf, and we have a wealth of expertise in supporting deaf children with a range of communication needs. Staff hold BSL qualifications from Level 1 to Level 6 and have significant experience working with pupils who use BSL as their primary language, ensuring every child receives skilled, personalised support.

Our bespoke curriculum is carefully designed to nurture the unique strengths, talents and potential of every child. Through a strong focus on communication, language and literacy, we equip pupils with the essential skills they need to access learning across the curriculum, develop independence and achieve their very best.

We are proud to deliver a Specialist Deaf Curriculum across the whole school, helping all children develop an understanding of Deaf culture, identity, communication and inclusion. As the first primary school in Cheshire to offer BSL to every pupil, we are committed to breaking down barriers and celebrating diversity.
