School Houses at Lindow

To encourage friendly competition, teamwork, and a sense of community across year groups, every child at Lindow is placed into one of our four school houses. Please note that all siblings are placed into the same house.

Each house is led by a member of staff and supported by a Year 6 House Captain. Throughout the year, houses compete in various events such as cross-country and Sports Day!

Our houses are named after local landmarks:

• Dunham (Blue House) – Head of House: Mrs Brown
• Lyme (Green House) – Head of House: Miss Pengelly
• Styal (Yellow House) – Head of House: Miss Smith
• Tatton (Red House) – Head of House: Miss Oakes

House Points & Weekly Rewards

• House Points: Children earn house points throughout the week for effort, positive behaviour, and demonstration of school values.

• Winning House Announcement: The winning house for the week is announced during Friday afternoon assembly.

• Weekly Treat: Children in the winning house enjoy a special celebratory table together at Friday lunchtime!

Charity & Community

During the academic year, each house adopts a chosen charity and actively raises money through dedicated fundraising events, helping our pupils understand the importance of community and giving back.
