School Uniform Policy & Guidance

At Lindow Community Primary School, we believe that wearing a smart school uniform instils a sense of pride and community, ensures equality, and keeps children practically and appropriately dressed for learning.

We ask that all parents support the school in implementing our uniform policy. If a child arrives without the correct uniform, school staff will contact parents to resolve the matter collaboratively.

Financial Support & Inclusivity: We are committed to keeping uniform costs as low as possible. If any family is struggling with the financial cost of providing appropriate uniform, please contact the school confidentially—we are always here to help.

Our Uniform Requirements

All listed items below are required; however, generic, unbranded versions of all items are fully permitted. Items marked with an asterisk (*) are available with the school logo, but branded versions are strictly optional.

Daily Uniform

• Sweatshirt or Cardigan: Red (plain or with school logo*)

• Fleece: Red (optional, for outdoor wear and PE*)

• Shirts: White polo shirt*, blouse, or shirt

• Trousers / Skirts: Grey trousers, shorts, pinafore dress, or skirt

• Footwear: Plain black shoes (trainers are not permitted)

• Summer Alternative: Red checked summer dress

PE Kit

• T-Shirt: White round-neck t-shirt*

• Bottoms: Red shorts

• Cold Weather Additions: Black or grey joggers and a sweatshirt for colder months

• Footwear: Trainers

Appearance & Accessories

• Hair: Hair that touches or falls below the shoulder must be tied back.

• Extras: Water bottles and book bags bearing the school logo can be purchased from the school office (generic alternatives are also welcome).

Purchasing Uniform & Second-Hand Options

• Branded Items: Items featuring the school logo can be purchased new from our official supplier via [Insert Supplier Link Here].

• 'New to You' Second-Hand Sales: To support sustainability and reduce costs, we regularly host pre-loved uniform sales. Second-hand items can also be requested directly through the school office at any time.
