Pupil Premium Strategy and Funding

Pupil Premium is additional funding provided to schools to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children often face additional challenges in reaching their full potential and may not perform as well as their peers.

At Lindow Community Primary School, our aim is for all pupils—regardless of background, need, or challenge—to make good progress and excel across all subject areas. High-quality teaching is at the heart of our approach, combined with a responsive, evidence-informed tiered strategy focusing on:

• High-Quality Teaching: Enhancing staff professional development, assessment tracking, and targeted classroom support.

• Targeted Academic Support: Providing diagnostic assessments and small-group or one-to-one interventions led by teachers.

• Wider Strategies: Supporting attendance and punctuality, emotional wellbeing, mental health, and enrichment opportunities like school trips and clubs.

Statutory Reporting

As required by the Department for Education, we publish an annual strategy statement detailing our funding allocation, identified barriers, and intended outcomes.
